Master of Engineering in Geodesy and Geomatics Engineering

The MEng degree is for students who wish to study one or more fields of geomatics engineering at an advanced level, with exposure to new geospatial technologies and a variety of application domains (Remote Sensing and Computer Vision, Spatial Data Sciences, Geodesy and Positioning, Hydrospatial Engineering). The course-based MEng consists of 30 credit hours of coursework, selected in consultation with the Director of Graduate Studies.

The Engineering Co-op Program allows you to develop as a professional and build critical transferrable skills, giving you a competitive edge when entering the job market. Participating in the co-op program allows you to apply the theory and knowledge you are learning in class to a professional work environment. Students should consult with their department and the co-op office to see what length of co-op they qualify for under the current regulations, however all relevant work experience is beneficial and will help you find employment after graduation.

Normal duration: 16-24 months
Coursework required: 30 credit hours of coursework, at least 15 of which must be 6000 level courses
Other requirements: optional Co-op placement

Education Applicants should hold an undergraduate degree in Geodesy Geomatics or a related field such as Geology Geography Physics Math Engineering Science Computer Science from an accredited university
Minimum GPA 3.0-4.3 or B Average the equivalent of 70 percent
Language proficiency International applicants whose first language is not English must submit language scores that meet or exceed International English Language Testing System ILETS band 7 and or a Test of English as a Foreign Language TOEFL score of 92
