MSc Microbiology and Immunology

Youll be taught by active researchers and collaborate with research groups in the university tackling the latest medical microbiology and immunological problems such as Covid-19, antimicrobial resistance, and the role of immunity in health and disease.

Key topics that the course include introduction to immunology and microbiology, the molecular basis of bacterial and viral pathogenesis, novel immune therapeutics, and the cellular and molecular basis of innate immunity.

By studying with us, you will:

gain direct experience of a variety of molecular biology, microbial and immunological techniques
train to carry out critical evaluation of published scientific papers
opportunity to study in greater depth selected aspects of microbiology and/or immunology through completion of a research project

2:1 honours degree (or international equivalent) in any relevant subject
IELTS - 7.0 (with a minimum of 6.0 in each element), TOEFL (iBT) - 100 (minimum 19 in writing and listening, 20 in reading and 22 in speaking)
