Bachelor of Applied Science in Engineering Science - Engineering Mathematics, Statistics and Finance

In your first two years, youll be immersed in engineering, math, science, computing and humanities. In your last two years, youll choose from one of eight majors for accelerated, discipline-specific learning. As a part of your U of T Engineering experience, you will gain a minimum of 600 hours of practical experience. This ensures that you obtain significant experience with professional responsibility before graduation. Your 600 hours may be fulfilled at any point during your degree and can include many facets, from working in industry to conducting research. Successful completion of the Professional Experience Year Co-op Program automatically satisfies this requirement.
The EngSci Mathematics, Statistics and Finance major teaches students the theory behind the financial instruments and markets that impact our global economy.
Financial markets affect everyone from companies raising capital, to pensions generating income for millions of retirees, insurance companies managing risks, and individuals investing their savings. In recent years, advanced financial technologies, such as robo-advisors, have significantly changed the landscape merging data science and financial mathematics.

High school Transcripts. Applicants who have attained a high level of academic achievement and who completely satisfy prerequisites will be considered for admission. The minimum requirements for consideration vary by program and admission category. All applicants are required to present a Grade 12 English course for admission consideration.

International Baccalaureate Diploma, with English HL or SL.
International Baccalaureate (IB) English - The minimum requirement is a score of at least 4 (predicted or final) in Higher or Standard Level English A: Literature or English A: Language and Literature. HL English B is not acceptable.
IELTS - The minimum requirement is an overall band of 6.5, with no band below 6.0.
TOEFL IBT - The minimum requirement is a total score of 89 with 22 on the Writing section.
