Juris Doctor and Master of Business Administration

The combined J.D./M.B.A. Program is part of a long-standing collaboration between the Faculty of Law and the Rotman School of Management in both research and teaching. The program enables students who are interested in the many ways in which the law interacts with the business world to combine graduate training in management with their law degree.
At the completion of the four-year integrated program, the successful student is awarded both the Juris Doctor and the Masters in Business Administration degrees which, if taken separately, would require five years of study. Students in the J.D./M.B.A. Program spend their first year doing the first year of the J.D. program, their second year completing the first year of the MBA program and the final two years completing courses drawn from both programs.

Four-year (4 year) Bachelors degree (in any discipline) or equivalent. A minimum CGPA of mid B (3.0), and a minimum GPA of B+ (3.3) in the final year of undergraduate studies. Admission is highly competitive, and meeting this requirement does not guarantee admission.
TOEFL iBT Test (min score): Total score of 100-120. Speaking 22-30. TOEFL PBT Test (min score): Total score between 600-677. Min 5 on the Test of Written English (TWE). IELTS min score between Band 7-9. Students applying to the JD/MBA program must be admitted to both the Law and Management faculties. As such, a separate application to each faculty must be submitted. Students who have completed the first year of either the JD or MBA program may apply for admission to the combined JD/MBA Program by meeting the normal application and admission requirement for the other faculty.
