UTS College

Located in the vibrant city of Sydney in Australia, UTS College offers dedicated pathway programs to prepare students for academic success at university, providing a guaranteed* path to a UTS degree. Students can undertake higher education diplomas, UTS Foundation Studies, Cambridge International AS and A Levels program, and English language programs.

All UTS College programs are designed in collaboration with UTS and are taught using an active and innovative model of learning that's aligned with UTS. This means the educational outcomes for diploma and graduate certificate students are the same as for first-year students studying a UTS undergraduate degree or master's degree, respectively.

Students receive world-class university teaching and learning from day one of their studies and most diploma students enter directly into the second year* of a bachelor's degree.

UTS College offers a wide range of academic and personal support to help international students succeed. Support services are freely accessible to all UTS College students and include the Learning Support Program, one-on-one tutorials, study skills workshops, full-time dedicated Study Success Advisers, the HELPS Centre and Studiosity 24/7 online study help with live tutors.

UTS College offers numerous scholarships providing financial support to international students. International students can enjoy a safe and welcoming environment while working towards academic and career goals. Students can explore this exciting city and its natural surroundings and take in some of the world's most famous landmarks including the Sydney Opera House, Sydney Harbour Bridge and Bondi Beach.

UTS College delivers UTS Foundations Studies, Cambridge AS and A Levels, English language programs, and diplomas to international students. Diploma programs are designed in collaboration with UTS, and diplomas and English language programs are taught at both the Sydney campus and via several education partners. This enables international students to attain the same outcomes as students at Australian universities, and in particular, UTS.

UTS College offers a variety of program and pathway scholarships to support international students. These aim to help students financially, reward high achievers, and recognise those who have made a difference in their communities. There are many scholarships available.

Cambridge International Global Scholars Award and Cambridge International Excellence Award 

High-achieving international students have the opportunity to achieve a prestigious scholarship award up to 100 percent (value approx. AUD 39,000) towards the NEW Cambridge International AS & A Levels Program.  

Foundation Scholarship

UTS College Foundation Scholarship is open to high achieving international students commencing UTS Foundation Studies at UTS College in 2025 or 2026. Scholarships are valued at $4,000 or $8,000 in tuition fee waivers.

Diploma Scholarship

UTS College Diploma Scholarships is open to eligible international students commencing a Diploma at UTS College in 2025 or 2026. Scholarships are valued at $4,000 or $8,000 in tuition fee waivers.

Pathway Scholarship to UTS

The UTS Diploma to Degree Pathway Scholarship is available to international students of UTS College who successfully complete a diploma and articulate to a UTS degree directly from the diploma.

The UTS Postgraduate International Scholarship is available to international students of UTS College who successfully complete a graduate certificate and articulate to a UTS masters directly from the graduate certificate.

Student Centre

New or current students can receive help from the Student Centre, the first port of call for support with:

• course information
• fee payments
• updating contact details
• student cards
• submitting medical certificates
• confirmation of enrolment requests
• welfare or accommodation enquiries.

Academic and English language support

The HELPS Centre offers free private learning support sessions. It also hosts activities to assist non-native speakers improve their English language and academic skills. The HELPS Centre provides many English language resources, from listening kits to current IELTS material. Study Success Advisers are also able to assist with further academic support.

Welcome Week

Welcome Week is designed to set students up for success. New students learn all about UTS College, and their requirements and processes during fun and interactive orientation events. It's an opportunity to meet teachers, staff and fellow students. Study Success Workshops are also available to help international students get a head start on their learning.

Mental health and counselling

Friendly, confidential, and professional support is available to all students. Student Success Advisers offer support for any issues relating to academic progress, finances or personal problems. For welfare concerns, UTS College offers student welfare services while students can also seek support from the UTS Health and Counselling Service.

The facilities at the UTS Building 5 campus are modern, with state of-the-art IT equipment, helping to improve connectivity and learning for students. Outside of studies, students can socialise in dedicated student lounges, chill-out zones, and relaxing courtyards and outdoor areas.

• a world-class library – a short walk from UTS College campuses. The library offers countless books, magazines, periodicals and other materials. It's home to group study rooms, computer labs and presentation practice rooms. Resources can also be accessed online 24/7.

• ActiveFit.Gym – a fully-equipped modern fitness centre with group exercise classes. Discount memberships are available to UTS College students.

UTS College offers students a unique Sydney-centric experience. Based in the heart of Sydney's vibrant CBD, with many transport options, top attractions, shopping amenities, cafes and restaurants all close by. Plus, Sydney's start-up and entrepreneurship hub is on the UTS campus doorstep.

Accommodation

International students can find a housing option that suits their budget and lifestyle. Student residences are located a short walk from UTS College campuses, and apartment rentals or local Australian family Homestay options are also available.

University security

UTS College is committed to making all students feel safe while studying and during their time on campus. Campus security is present in all buildings, responding to any urgent situations and acting as a point of help for students. All members of UTS College require security cards for accessing campus facilities. Students can also access escort services from the security team, perfect for moving around the campus at nighttime.

Sydney

While Sydney has a reputation for being one of the safest and friendliest cities in the world, it's important that students take precautions, especially when out at night. Letting others know of their whereabouts, or pre-booking a taxi or ride-share, or arranging transport with a friend are good choices. All UTS College students receive a Stay Safe card with emergency contact details to carry with them at all times.

Commencing in 2026, UTS College will be offering an exciting Australian first – the new UTS Cambridge Accelerator. Year 10 graduates can experience university life and first year university subjects early while completing their AS and A levels abroad.

The program combines internationally recognised Cambridge International AS and A Levels with business, engineering or IT-focused first year university subjects. Two other components – academic English and Duke of Edinburgh's International Award – are also built into the course, so students can build confidence and accelerate their learning journey.

The program will be delivered on the UTS campus, located in the heart of Sydney.

UTS Building 5 campus

The UTS College Building 5 campus is conveniently located between Chinatown and Darling Square, and minutes from Central Station and Darling Harbour. The campus provides students with a similar campus-life experience that UTS students enjoy.

Facilities are modern with state of-the-art IT equipment, helping to improve connectivity and learning for students. The campus offers several student lounge areas, new science labs, and onsite IT, student, accommodation, welfare and HELPS Centre services. The campus helps to build the student community, and provides opportunities for collaboration, connectedness, and creativity.
