Foundation Studies and Diploma programs can range from two to three terms in length (eight to twelve months). A student's ideal course length will depend on their previous academic qualifications and their level of English language proficiency.

All courses are taught in English, and so students applying from a country where English is not the primary language must provide evidence of a successful English language course, as part of their application. The cost to study at Western Sydney University International College varies depending on the chosen course and whether students take a 2-term accelerated course, or a 3-term one. They can expect to pay between AUD$23,600 and AUD$36,717 for tuition, and a further AUD$24,500 - AUD$30,300 per year in living expenses, depending on the choice of accommodation and a student's lifestyle. This includes estimates for housing, transport, clothing, entertainment, mobile/cell phone costs and food.
