As the sporting industry and ageing population in Singapore is growing, there is an increased focus on health and active lifestyles because physical activity can help prevent and manage many diseases. Therefore, there is a growing demand of experts in sport and exercise science. Exercise and sport are directly linked to the Health Promotion Board-Singapore (Health Promotion Board, 2017) prevention and intervention strategies and the Singapore Sports Council’s (Sport Singapore, 2017) commitment to Singapore’s sport performance.
