Chủ đề được đề cập

Education, writing and science have all started in Egypt. The prototypes of university, education institution and library trace back their origin to the ancient Egyptian temples where knowledge was transferred from a lecturer to a group of learners in different disciplines. Some examples of these education institutes are the Temples of Edfu and Kom Ombo as well as the Great Temple of Ptah in Memphis where medicine, mathematics, astronomy, chemistry, philosophy and other disciplines were taught.

This prestigious legacy of the Egyptian education has continued through the ages to the extent that Egypt still currently hosts one of the world’s oldest continuously operating universities, Al-Azhar University, which was founded in 970 AD.
