1. Where are you originally from? Why did you choose IDP?

I was born in a small village the southern side of my country which is in Uzbekistan, located in Central Asia. When I started researching on study options in Australia, it was quite hard to find the right course and even if I found some, they didn’t match my expectations. IDP helped me find the right choice and answered my questions about the university and different courses when I was having trouble finding the right course for me.

2. Are there any challenges you faced?

There were a few challenges which I found difficult such as I had to work with an accredited Australian education agent, but I couldn’t apply directly from my country. So I had to find an agent and apply through them, I can vividly remember that I worked with more than 4 agencies.

3. How did you approach your job search (part-time/full-time)?

After my arrival in Sydney Australia, it took me two months to find a good job and I visited different places to provide my CV, but the best way was to apply online - I applied through “Seek-job App” which is the best and easiest way to get a job. I’m currently working in a part-time job with a Japanese clothing brand.

4. What are your goals for your career in Australia?

I want to learn more, and I’m very much satisfied with my studies, and I found Australian education system is the best. I wholeheartedly want to develop personally and professionally throughout my studies. I want to run my own business in my country when I finish my degree in Australia and bring so more knowledge and innovation to my home country.

5. Is there any advice for international students?

I would advise all students who are trying and working hard to make their dreams happen about studying abroad: Never give up, and only think about future and live with the future, then you can succeed, there might be struggles now that preventing you from achieving them. But always go ahead and believe in the future and you can absolutely make your brightest future for yourself.
