After a long semester, you may want to go home because you're feeling homesick or take a fun vacation with friends you've made over the semester. Both may be needed and you can certainly do so. Just work with your current student advisor to make sure you answer all the questions necessary. Some of those questions may be, is my passport expiring soon? Do I have a valid visa to re-enter the US? Do I need a travel signature? Am I returning to UW upon arrival or is my program date approaching? All great questions to ask yourself.
