SACE Stage 1 (Year 11)

The South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE) is a modern, internationally recognised secondary school qualification designed to equip students with skills, knowledge and personal capabilities to successfully participate in a fast-paced global society. It is designed to meet the specific academic needs and interests of students, to develop and prepare them for their future career aspirations.

The SACE is an internationally recognised qualification awarded to students who successfully complete Stage 1 (Year 11) and Stage 2 (Year 12) at a South Australian high school. To be successful, students need to achieve 200 credits, through a mixture of compulsory and elective subjects. Credit towards the SACE may be given to international students who have successfully completed Year 11 in their own country.
