Year 11 - GCSE/IGCSE (2nd year)

Secondary education is a major step in a young person's life towards further education or the world of work. It is a time when key skills are developed and honed, when pupils learn to interact and integrate with their peers, and when they discover where their true skills and interests lie. We are fully committed to providing the very best secondary education, and as such our curriculum offers academic and vocational depth and breadth.

The heart of what we do at Bethany is to stretch our pupils ability by allowing them the opportunity to take on challenges. We encourage pupils to take risks, be persistent and learn from their mistakes and much of this is incorporated in our virtue of learning model. Staff develop a curriculum that embeds strategies that will develop potential, allow for development of talent and nurture creative and cognitive abilities in all our pupils.

We teach a variety of subjects throughout the first three years at Bethany, to allow pupils to recognise which areas are most suited to their interests, skills and abilities. Our broad range of GCSE and A level options, including vocational qualifications, provide the perfect continuation for them to fully explore and stretch the limits of their capabilities.
