Doctor of Philosphy in Biostatistics

The primary mission of the doctoral program in Biostatistics is to provide the training necessary to carry out independent research in theory, methodology and application of statistics to important problems in biomedical research, including research biology, public health and clinical medicine. All students in the doctoral program in Biostatistics are required to demonstrate mastery of advanced biostatistical methods which is assessed via coursework and examinations. The PhD Program in Biostatistics will provide training in: Develop new quantitative methods and underlying theory, Make innovative applications to substantive and demanding scientific problems, Lead and participate in interdisciplinary research involving public health, medicine, biology, and the social sciences.

TOEFL, the recommended minimum score for admission consideration is 577 on the paper-based test and 90 on the Internet-based test.
IELTS, the recommended minimum overall band score is 7.
