Master of Arts in Geography - African Studies [Collaborative Specialization]

The Geography MA offers the opportunity to investigate how elements of place, space and environment interact with one another to explain human activities. Students are encouraged to identify and explore a particular problem under the guidance of one or more knowledgeable members of the faculty.

The Geography MSc offers the opportunity for students to study environmental processes, patterns and change linked to human impacts on climate, ecosystems and resources.

The requirement for admission into the master's program is a B.A.(Honours) or B.Sc. (Honours) in Geography or a related discipline, with at least B+ standing.

In exceptional cases, pertinent work experience may be considered in support of an application to the Department. Students entering the program from other disciplines or with academic deficiencies may be required to take additional courses.

IELTS - Overall 6.5 (minimum 6.0 in each band).
TOEFL iBT - 86 (20 in reading and listening, 22 in speaking and writing)
TOEFL PBT - overall score of 580.
