Pre Dentistry

The Pre-Dentistry Program provides an excellent foundation for students who plan to attend dental school to become a dentist. This program is not designed for students interested in pre-dental hygiene or dental assisting.

Upon admission, each student works with a pre-professional advisor, who helps the student develop a strategy for selecting courses, identifying an appropriate departmental major (degree program), and navigating the dental school application process.

During the second or third semester of study, each student selects a major field of study, and a faculty advisor is assigned to develop a plan to meet degree requirements for that major.

The University offers a variety of activities and organizations that enable students to participate in volunteer activities, internships, and community service. Other opportunities include the University's Honors Program and study abroad programswhich range from summer programs to a single semester or a full academic year in over 56 countries.
