The major in Human Capital Management and Leadership (HCML) prepares graduates to understand how the best organizations attract, develop and lead their talent to create sustained competitive advantage. The graduates will develop knowledge and skills in organizational behavior, human resource management, effective leadership, diversity, equity, and inclusion, and strategic management. The curriculum highlights understanding and implementing best evidence-based and ethical practices associated with human capital consulting, leading organizations, change management, employee engagement and motivation, cross cultural management, talent acquisition, employment law, compensation, executive decision making and strategy, human resource management, conflict resolution and negotiations. The HCML curriculum is approved by the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM) for alignment with the Society's undergraduate curriculum requirements.
