Post Master Advanced Certificate in LGBT Health, Education, and Social Services

If you are a professional with a master's degree, our post-master's advanced certificate in LGBT Health, Education, and Social Services will give you the tools and depth of knowledge to work with lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) people, or to work in educational, health, research, counseling, and community-based settings that support and serve these populations.This is an ideal additional credential for you if you provide direct services to a variety of individuals, including LGBT individuals (or if you would like to), or you are interested in conducting research on LGBT issues, engaging in policy analysis and reform, or more effectively managing or directing organizations and agencies that serve the LGBT community.

In order to be considered for admission to this program, you must already have a master's degree in one of the following, or a related field of study:

Social Work
Counseling
Psychology
Public Health
Public or Health Policy and Management
Teacher Education
Educational Leadership

You must have the equivalent of a regionally accredited four-year US bachelor's degree before beginning your studies at NYU Steinhardt to be considered for admission.
