Bachelor of Arts in Physics/Master of Education in Secondary Education

Physics is the study of the natural world and all its phenomena at the most fundamental level. The field of physics includes a broad range of sub-specialties, such as the study of subatomic particles, the study of the properties of nuclei, atoms, macroscopic systems, as well as the study of the structure and origin of the universe itself. The BA is designed for those who are planning for a non-research career in a field that has an important science component. Examples include patent law, environmental law enforcement, medicine or sales or management in a high-technology industry. This Plus 1 Accelerated Program offers Physics undergraduate majors in the College of Science and Technology the exciting opportunity to complete their undergraduate degree AND, then, in the year following,a Master's Degree in Secondary Education. The master's program meets the Pennsylvania Department of Education's program requirements for Teacher Certification in Physics (Grades 7-12).

Your application must include all official and original academic records from any secondary school you have ever attended.
If you are attending a secondary school curriculum that is four years, Temple University reviews grades nine through 11 as well as your current progress in 12th grade (term/quarter/semester/predicted) or your final transcript if you completed secondary school.
If you are attending a secondary school curriculum that is only three years, we strongly recommend you submit the final year of your primary school as well.
