Graduate Certificate in Geriatric and Special Needs Dentistry

The certificate program in geriatric and special needs dentistry prepares dentists to be leaders and teachers in this critical area of practice. The multidisciplinary program incorporates medicine and psychiatry and blends clinical and didactic experiences in varied settings, such as acute, palliative, rehabilitative, and long-term care. Its goal is to provide dental professionals with the knowledge and skills they need to provide patient-centered, sound, and realistic treatment plans for their geriatric and special needs patients.

Applicants must have a D.D.S. or D.M.D. from an accredited dental school. International students will be considered with proper documentation and a minimum of 3 years experience and/or a Prosthodontics Certificate. The application process includes submission of your CV, a letter of interest, an official academic transcript, 3 letters of recommendation, and a copy of your dental license (prior to beginning the program). A stipend is available and there is a fee for international students.
