Master of Arts in French Literature - Feminist and Gender Studies (Research)

The Department of French offers graduate programs leading to the degrees of Master of Arts (M.A.) in French Literature (with dissertation or thesis) and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in French Literature.

The Department also participates in several multidisciplinary programs: Feminist and Gender Studies (at the Master's level), Medieval and Renaissance Studies (at the Master's level), and Canadian Studies (at the Doctoral level), which allows students to acquire a specialization in one of these fields.

The multidisciplinary program in Feminist and Gender Studies at the Master's level aims to combine graduate studies in a particular discipline with the feminist approach and issues developed in feminist and gender studies. This multidisciplinary program is particularly aimed at students enrolled in specific programs in arts, counselling and spirituality (St. Paul), law, education, health sciences, social sciences who are interested in feminist and gender studies. The degree awarded is a master's degree in the primary discipline with a specialization in feminist and gender studies.
