Doctor of Philosophy in Economics

The UW Ph.D. in economics offers a fully funded, cohort-based doctoral program for students seeking a small and collaborative community. The PhD in economics program is designed to equip the student for professional research in university, government, or industry positions. Applicants to the program must complete, or have previously completed, course work that satisfies the PhD prerequisite courses listed on the Graduate Admissions webpage.

Test Scores Satisfactory GRE scores which usually exceeds 310 overall with a minimum of 153 in the verbal section and 144 in the quantitative section

English Proficiency We accept both TOEFL and IELTS scores We require a minimum score of 540 on the paperbased TOEFL 207 on the computerized TOEFL 76 on the internet based TOEF or a 6.5 on the IELTS
