Aim of the scholarship
Supported by Sony Interactive Entertainment, the PlayStation Career Pathways Programme aims to increase diversity in the gaming industry. It offers undergraduate and postgraduate students from Black, Asian and minority ethnic backgrounds financial support as well as a range of career development opportunities throughout their course.

You must:

Be from a Black, Asian or minority ethnic background.
Hold a firm offer to study a new full-time course in the 2025/26 academic year, excluding foundation year and distance learning, on one of the following courses:
BA (Hons) Animation
BSc (Hons) Computer Animation and Visual Effects
BSc (Hons) Computer Games Development
BA (Hons) Future Media Production
BA (Hons) Games Art
BSc (Hons) Games Design
BA (Hons) Graphic Design
BA (Hons) Music and Sound Design
Have a household income of 25,000 or less. We'll check this against your Student Finance application. Please contact us if you will not be applying to Student Finance for a maintenance loan.
Be a UK student - English, Scottish, Welsh or Northern Irish - paying the standard full-time fees, and have a UK Student Support Number.
Pay for your course yourself, including through a student loan or a payment from your parents. Your course fees must not be paid by a business, charity or other organisation.
