Newcastle University is pleased to offer 60 Vice-Chancellor's Excellence Scholarships (VCES) for outstanding international applicants who apply to commence full-time Master's studies on an eligible programme.
To be considered for the up to 50% scholarships applicants must:
be domiciled in of one of the following countries: Canada, China, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Nigeria, Pakistan, Thailand, Turkey, Ukraine, the USA, Mexico, Central America* or South America**.
be assessed as international for fee purposes
hold an offer for an eligible Master's degree programme at the University's Newcastle city centre campus for the 2025/26 academic year
already have or expect to receive the equivalent of an upper second class UK honours degree or above
*Central America - Belize, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua and Panama
**South America - Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Guyana, Paraguay, Peru, Suriname, Uruguay and Venezuela
Eligible candidates will be assessed according to evidence of academic ability, evidence of commitment to studies and quality of application.

be domiciled in Ukraine, India, Ghana or Nigeria.
be assessed as international for fee purposes
hold an offer for an eligible Master's degree programme at the University's Newcastle city centre campus for the 2025/26 academic year
already have or expect to receive the equivalent of an upper second class UK honours degree or above
