Eligible students are selected on the basis of financial need.
This bursary was established with a donation from Hilda May Gibbons and is offered to students in financial need, enrolled in a medical course and who intend to become general practitioners and not psychologists or psychiatrists.
Benefits
The scholarship provides an annual allowance of approximately AUD $1,200 (exact amount determined when award is offered) for up to the full-time duration of your course. The annual allowance is paid in two instalments usually in April and September. The duration will be reduced by any study completed towards your course prior to receiving this scholarship.
Eligibility
To be considered for this bursary, you must:
be enrolled in a medical course (and intend to become general practitioners and not psychologists or psychiatrists) at the University of Melbourne
provide evidence of financial need
