The University of Otago Special Health Research Scholarship provides funding to support outstanding doctoral students who are contemplating a career in Health Research.

Graduates in any discipline intending to undertake research training at PhD level on a topic relevant to human health are eligible to apply.

The Scholarship is available to domestic and international students. Candidates for professional doctorates, as well as the PhD, are welcome to apply.

Applicants must usually be:

seeking to obtain their first doctoral qualification
studying, or planning to study, full-time
undertaking health related research

Applications for doctoral scholarships are made online through the eVision portal and can be made at any time of the year. Once you have applied for admission to your programme you will receive an alert in your student portal inviting you to apply for a scholarship.
