This renewable scholarship reflects Professor Daniel Powell's passion for international development and teaching. It is also tied to his love for Latin America and its people, as he felt very close to their struggles and aspirations. This renewable scholarship is awarded to Latin American students entering Trent University who are intending to major in International Development Studies. Based upon academic achievement, financial barriers, and community and/or volunteer service. If there are no students who qualify in the International Development Studies (IDS) program, it can be awarded to Latin American students entering Trent in any program.
Students must apply for Prestigious Scholarships. One application qualifies you for all prestigious scholarships.
The application form can be found on your myTrent applicant portal located under the Finances tab > International > ''International Undergraduate Scholarships & Awards Application (2025)'' form.
