Seçim kriterleri
This scholarship is awarded on the basis of financial need and under-represented groups in the faculty as identified in the eligibility criteria.
Applicants will be shortlisted on the basis of financial need upon the recommendation of the Student Funding Office. Shortlisted candidates will be asked to write a short statement in support of their scholarship application by the Sarah Parker Remond Centre, who will make the final decision.
Supported by the Michael Arthur Scholarship Fund, this scholarship aims to enable students from underrepresented backgrounds to pursue master's studies in Race, Ethnicity and Postcolonial Studies.
Candidates must fulfil all of the following criteria:
be ordinarily resident in the UK or Ireland, or a forced migrant (as defined by UCL) and eligible to pay Home fee rate
be in financial need (as assessed by UCL)
not have completed a Master's degree at UCL or anywhere else previously
AND have submitted an admission application for the MA Race, Ethnicity & Postcolonial Studies programme at UCL
To address under-represented groups in the faculty, the scholarship may be awarded preferentially to students who:
are from a Black, Asian, or Minority Ethnicity backgrounds
have a disability.
Scholarship recipients are obliged to inform the UCL Student Funding Office immediately of any other funding they are awarded towards their UCL Master's degree studies, before or subsequent to the MA Race, Ethnicity and Postcolonial Studies Scholarship being awarded.
