The Douglas Johnson Scholarship aims to support UK domiciled students in financial need to pursue an undergraduate degree in the department of History at UCL. Eligible candidates must:
be domiciled in the UK with Home fee status
be in financial need
hold an offer of admission to UCL to study a full-time undergraduate degree in the department of History (including joint honours degree).
The award provides £25,000 per year for a three year undergraduate programme and is subject to satisfactory academic progress. The award will be applied to cover tuition fees in the first instance, with remainder payable as maintenance.
If a student on a four year undergraduate programme receives this award, payments will be made pro rata, i.e. they will receive £18,750 for each of their four years of study.
The Douglas Johnson Scholarship is one of the schemes that make up the Undergraduate Funding and Access Awards (UGFA).
