- Satisfactory academic standing
- Agricultural and Resource Economics
- Registered in a masters or doctoral program in the Department of Resource Economics and Environmental Sociology
- Preference given to a student registered in the Agricultural and Resource Economics graduate program in the Department of Resource Economics and Environmental Sociology
- Based on academic achievement. Financial need may be taken into consideration
- Recipient must not currently be holding a major award valued at CAN $15,000 dollars or more during the tenure of this award
- Open to Canadian citizens
- Open to permanent residents
- Open to foreign nationals holding Canadian study permits
- Open to applicants in thesis-based study programs
- Open to applicants in doctoral programs
- Open to applicants in masters programs
- Open to full time and part time registered students
