Nominees may be in the field of Agricultural Engineering, Civil Engineering, Geography, Geology, Plant Science, Rural Economy or Soil Science as it relates to soil conservation, water resources management, and irrigation
Nominee's research is in the area of soil and water resources as directed towards the enhancement of rural life in Western Canada and Alberta in particular
On the basis of superior academic ability
Open to Canadian citizens.

Open to applicants in doctoral programs.
Open to applicants in masters programs.

By nomination only. Students should contact their department for details on their application process. Nominations are submitted to GPS by the Department (or Faculty) and will be part of a competitive adjudication. The Graduate Scholarship Committee makes the final decision.
