Selection will be based on:
- academic achievement
- character, as evidenced by a reference, and (if applicable)
- the potential of any proposed research project as part of the MEFE/MEngSt (Fire) study to benefit fire science and fire safety engineering in New Zealand and internationally.
This scholarship supports Master's students in Fire Engineering at the University of Canterbury. It was established by Arup, an international design, planning, engineering and management consulting firm with a long history of fire safety engineering as part of its broad multi-disciplinary approach to design of buildings and infrastructure.
Applicable Enrolment During Tenure: Must be enrolled full-time at the University of Canterbury in a programme for either a Master of Engineering in Fire Engineering (MEFE), or a Master of Engineering Studies in Fire Engineering (MEngSt(Fire)) degree
Tenure: One year
