In making its recommendation, the selection committee gives consideration to: a. academic record and b. the quality of the research proposal and c. fit with the strategic themes and strands of the research direction of Te Kaupeka Ture Faculty of Law. If, in any year, there are no candidates of sufficient merit, then no scholarship will be awarded.
Applicants must be applying for admission to a doctoral programme and be intending to begin their research in the year following the year of application.
Recipients may not already hold a research doctoral degree.
Tenure: The scholarships are tenable for the period necessary to complete up to 360 points of enrolment
