Nursing and Midwifery Undergraduate Scholarship

The scholarship is awarded as a £2,000 accommodation fee waiver in the first year of study only. It is open to UK offer-holders for bachelor degree courses or integrated masters programmes in the School of Health Sciences at the University of Surrey. Students living outside of university accommodation will be offered this as a cash award.

Successful applicants will demonstrate academic excellence and a passion for their subject area. The scheme is application-based, and awards are decided by a scholarship awards panel. International offer-holders should apply for the International Excellence scholarship instead.

Eligibility criteria

Applicants must:

Be a UK student, with home fee status
Hold an offer to study a full-time bachelors/integrated master's degree programme at FHEQ Level 4 (first-year entry) in the following subjects

• Midwifery (Registered Midwife) BSc (Hons)
• Nursing Studies (Registered Nurse Adult Nursing) BSc (Hons)
• Nursing Studies (Registered Nurse Children and Young People Nursing) BSc (Hons)
• Nursing Studies (Registered Nurse Mental Health Nursing) BSc (Hons).

Applicants for the foundation year cannot be considered for this award.
