Chevening Scholarships are for talented people who have been identified as potential future leaders across a wide range of fields. Applicants should be high calibre graduates with the personal, intellectual and interpersonal qualities necessary for leadership.
Chevening publishes more comprehensive details of who can apply for the scholarship on its website, but generally applicants must:
- be able to demonstrate that they have achieved a minimum English language requirement
- be a citizen of a Chevening-eligible country at the time of applying for the award
- hold a degree that is equivalent to at least a good UK second-class honours degree
- have completed at least two years' work experience
- plan to travel back to their home country after they have completed their studies
Applications for the scholarship must be submitted via the Chevening website. (Applications for your course at Westminster should be made in the normal way via our course pages).
Please refer to the guidance on the Chevening website before applying, including the frequently asked questions. You should also refer to the country pages on the Chevening website, which contain guidance for applicants from your country, including priority subject areas.
Check deadlines carefully – the application cycle begins approximately one year before you would begin your university course, so you will need to plan your application early. You can find all the dates and the application process on the Chevening website.
