Open to UK (home) students only.
In order to be eligible you must also have an offer for a place on one of the following courses:
BEng Electronic Engineering (with a foundation year)
BEng Music Technology Systems (with a foundation year)
BSc Physics (with a foundation year)
BEng Engineering (with a foundation year)
The Foundation Year Bursary is open to students with a 'Home' fee status.
If you or your parents withhold your consent to share financial information on your Student Loans application, we will not be able to confirm your eligibility for the bursary.
This bursary is calculated by residual household income as follows: Residual household income £25,000 or less - £5,600 £25,001 or more - £3,000.
The University uses the assessment of household income carried out by Student Finance to automatically assess students for bursary eligibility.
After you've completed the foundation year and move onto the first year of your degree, you may be eligible for the York Bursary (if your residual household income is £35,000 or less).
