Melbourne

Melbourne is a dream city for culture lovers. Here, you can find great live music, delicious foods, world-famous street art, and hidden bars and cafes in alleyways. Melbourne is often known as Australia's cultural capital. Melbourne is the country's second-largest city after Sydney and has been selected by the Economic Intelligence Unit's World's Most Livable Cities as the most livable city for four years in a row. Also, another reason that Melbourne has become a multicultural city is that over 35% of its 4 million residents were born overseas.

Business area

Melbourne is the perfect blend of traditional and modern culture, which has made the business district famous, whether it is the beauty of the alleys, the beauty of the city, the old architecture, or the great taste of coffee. Local beer is also popular. You can find everything on the map, including the best coffee shops, tourist attractions, and shopping areas. Furthermore, it is also a good idea to visit both the central and eastern areas of the CBD. Take a walk down Collins Street during the weekday lunch hour or to the Bourke Street Mall on Saturdays. Be part of the hustle and bustle of this metropolis in this business district. Victoria's top universities, RMIT, La Trobe University (city campus), and Swinburne University of Technology, are located in this area.

Carlton & Fitzroy

Both Fitzroy and Carlton are historic spaces with relaxed atmospheres where artists, musicians, and all kinds of creative people squat in antique terraces or shop fronts. There are also many clothing stores and record stores in Carlton, an area that has a very Italian vibe. If you are a person who likes Italian art or culture, then this is it. This is an area you shouldn't miss. Many Italian-style houses can be found here. You can also find many Italian restaurants in this area. (At least on Lygon Street.) Italian restaurants, both Tiamo and Tiamo II, tend to have long lines for dinner. But it's worth the wait, as you'll feel like a local. Your table will be filled with Bruschetta (toasted Italian bread, soaked in olive oil served with garlic and tomatoes) or you will go to Brunetti where you can select sweet dishes from the cabinet. The desserts here are as delicious as those at any Parisian coffee shop. In Carlton, the University of Melbourne's expansive Parkvilles campus is located at the end of Swanston Street.

St Kilda & Caulfield

Monash University has several campuses, including one in Caulfield, a Melbourne suburb. St Kilda is a relaxed inner-city neighbourhood nearby. The vibe here is much more like that of a beachside community than the rush and bustle of the inner suburbs. However, it is a lively city because of the large number of shops, restaurants, and backpackers on the streets. St Kilda is also home to some of Melbourne's most iconic festivals and is also a popular public venue.
