Bachelor of Science in Education and Human Development - Educational Design for Transformative Futures

All undergraduate students entering Boston University Wheelock College of Education & Human Development enroll in the undergraduate major, the Bachelor of Science (BS) in Education & Human Development. This program combines coursework and field-based experiences in education, human development, psychology, and the social sciences, and opens doors to future opportunities such as undergraduate research, teacher licensure, and diverse careers.

As an undergraduate at BU Wheelock, you can:
Study complex real-world challenges such as systemic racism or global interconnectedness
Discover and understand your role in advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion
Explore field-based experiences in settings such as schools, hospitals, and mental health agencies

For undergraduate students who are interested in becoming creative, innovative educational designers who collaborate with communities, families, youths, and educators to transform education across a range of settings. Youll learn to integrate critical theory, collaborate with others on design-centered research projects, and have access to community and field apprenticeships.

Secondary School - You will need to send original or certified copies of your home country's credentials as part of your application.
Students who are applying during their last year of secondary school should clearly state the name of the certificate they expect to receive and when They should send an official school transcript with the application and send the original or certified copies.
All documents written in a world language must be accompanied by a notarized English translation Please note that both documents are required the original in your first language and the English translation.
BU accepts results for the Test of English as a Foreign Language Internet Based Test TOEFL iBT as evidence of English proficiency Students who are most competitive for admission will have a composite score of at least 90-100 and minimum scores of 20 in each section.
BU accepts results for the International English Language Testing System IELTS A total overall score of 7 or higher will also satisfy BUs English Language proficiency requirement for all programs.
