Pre University Program - Psychology Profile in Social Science

The field of psychology investigates the interaction between the mind and behaviours in humans. Students intrigued by what influences behaviour, how behaviour is modified, and the different perspectives to understand this process will have their curiosity rewarded in the Psychology profile. Students will be introduced to the fundamentals of psychology and will be given the freedom to explore several specialized fields, including but not limited to sports psychology, developmental psychology, human sexuality and social psychology. At the same time, students will acquire core social science and research methodology skills, preparing them for eventual university study.

applicants must possess a Quebec Secondary School Diploma or have completed a level of education that is deemed equivalent by the College. All applicants whose mother tongue or whose secondary school language of instruction was not English should submit the result of either: The TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language). The minimum accepted score is 75 for Internet-based, or 540 for Paper-based. Or The IELTS (International English Language Testing System). The minimum accepted score is 6.5 on the IELTS 9-band scale (or 6.0 with no component score under 5.5). Applicants from outside Canada are required to possess a high school diploma or equivalent from their country. International applicants may only apply for the winter semester if they have a student visa which is valid until the end of the winter semester. All applications will be evaluated according to the student's academic record.
