MSc/PgDip Forensic Explosive and Explosion Investigation

Using cutting edge research, latest methodologies and in-depth forward thinking. The Forensic Explosive and Explosion Investigation MSc aims to enhance your understanding in a fast-paced science.
It will give you a broad introduction into the subject, and will utilise highly practical and hands-on sessions, aiming to produce forensic experts capable of giving expert witness testimonies in a courtroom situation and elsewhere.
The course allows you to flexibly choose a number of elective modules to suit your prospective career. You can choose from a list of different capabilities within the scope of the course, whether than be Hazardous materials, counter-improvised explosive devices (IED) investigation or firearms and their investigation. Some modules for this MSc may be taught at Cranfield University at Shrivenham.

A first or second class honours degree or equivalent in forensic science or scientific discipline, or the professional equivalent. Students with other degrees who can show a knowledge of and interest in the scientific elements of the subject will also be considered.

Security clearance for Shrivenham
Some Cranfield University courses are delivered at the Defence Academy of the United Kingdom, Shrivenham which is a Ministry of Defence (MoD) site. All applicants to courses that are wholly or partially delivered at Shrivenham must complete the BPSS (HMG Baseline Personnel Security Standard V4 April 2014) prior to registration on the course or must already hold a security clearance to this level or higher.

TOEFL
TOEFL iBT (we accept TOEFL iBT, TOEFL iBT Home Edition and TOEFL iBT Paper Edition) - 100 total and minimum skill component scores of 18 reading, 17 listening, 20 speaking and 17 writing.
