Juris Doctor and Doctor of Philosophy in Law and Psychology

The Thomas R. Kline School of Law and the Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences in the College of Arts and Sciences offer a joint and integrated JD/PhD program in Law and Psychology. The program melds two already ongoing successful endeavors, the JD degree in the School of Law and the PhD in clinical psychology in the Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences. Although a few other universities may offer degrees in law and psychology, these are often on an ad-hoc, nonintegrated-basis. Thus, the Drexel program is a unique interdisciplinary endeavor.

Official transcripts must be sent directly to Drexel from all of the colleges and universities that you have attended Please note that transcripts are required regardless of number of credits taken or if the credits were transferred to another school An admission decision may be delayed if you do not send transcripts from all colleges and universities that you have attended
International applicants are required to demonstrate English language proficiency by submitting scores from the Test of English as a Foreign Language TOEFL minimum scores 100 OR 600 OR 250 the International English Language Testing System IELTS minimum Overall Band Score 7.0 or the Pearson Test of English PTE minimum score 68 unless they meet the criteria for a waiver

Although requirements vary by program regular admission typically requires a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 B for undergraduate work The average for any graduate work must be at least 3.0 Applicants for post-master's status must show potential for further study by having maintained at least a 3.0 average in their masters-level studies Individual departmental requirements may exceed these minimums.
