Public safety management majors focus on large-scale disaster preparedness, homeland security, and delivery of lifesaving services including fire fighting, emergency medical services, and disaster recovery. Students will learn about the administration of emergency services, the principles of public safety, and the art of decision making in classes that focus on public safety, criminal justice, financial management, terrorism and public policy, public management, emergency services administration, solid and hazardous waste management, research methods, and GIS techniques.
