Bachelor of Information Technology

The Bachelor of Information Technology will help students achieve a comprehensive understanding of information technology in technical and business management areas. You'll develop applications, frameworks, products and services for growing areas such as analytics and cyber security. You will also learn how business problems can be solved by applying a range of technological and programming concepts and tools, and how to effectively communicate these solutions to diverse stakeholders. Additionally, you will be taught how to safeguard data and information, create and manage databases and ensure the ethical handling of business information.

Course Learning Outcomes
Students enrolled in the Bachelor of Information Technology at Kaplan Business School will learn how to:

Identify business opportunities by applying a range of technological and programming concepts and tools
Report technological problems, solutions and outcomes to diverse stakeholders clearly and effectively
Explain how business problems can be solved with the aid of technological methods and tools
Apply an exploratory, technical and global mindset when solving business problems
Apply ethical, privacy and information security frameworks regarding technology
Create technological and programmatic solutions based on current real-world case studies

Students must reach the admissions standards set by the Academic Board, which are currently: Successful completion of Year 12 or equivalent schooling such as a Certificate IV or equivalent.

ENGLISH ENTRY REQUIREMENTS: Academic IELTS Overall 6.0, with not less than 6.0 for Speaking and Writing and 5.5 for Listening and Reading; OR KITE score greater than 426 Overall for listening, reading and grammar, and B2 for speaking and writing; OR PTE Academic Score of 50; OR TOEFL iBT Score of 60; OR GCE Ordinary Level; Grade C in English Language or English Literature; OR GCE Advanced Subsidiary Level; Grade C in English Language or English Literature; OR GCE Advanced Level; Grade D in English Language or English Literature; OR Cambridge English: Advanced from Cambridge ESOL (CAE) Score of 169.

MATURE AGE STUDENTS

If you are aged 21 years or over, you may be eligible to apply for mature age entry. School results, TAFE or VET qualifications, work experience and other informal study may be accepted in support of your application.
