This course leads to two separate degrees: Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Music. As a graduate with a degree in Arts and another in Music you could pursue a career in the arts sector, performance, music instruction or composing, or in interdisciplinary roles, such as production, arts management, policy or coaching.
This major examines the global impact of Asian countries, cultures and economies. This knowledge is of critical importance to all future professionals aiming to sharpen their Asia-literacy in what is now known as the Asian Century. This major combines an interdisciplinary approach with a rigorous research-led approach to examine a range of issues relating to the history, politics, society, economy and culture of Asian countries, their influence in the world, as well as the variety of expressions of individual experience. It focusses in particular on China, Japan, Indonesia, Korea, Malaysia and South Asia. Its units are taught and assessed in English, and the major and its units can be usefully combined with any of the Asian language majors.
