From large global manufacturers to local firms producing and selling goods, all companies have a supply chain function that must be managed effectively to remain competitive in today's business marketplace. Across industries, companies require supply chain management professionals to manage production, direct the flow of materials, organize finances, coordinate internal and cross-company communication and improve service for customers. In the current economy, seamless operations and supply chain management function are crucial to business success.
Students concentrating in operations/supply chain management learn how to develop and evaluate business processes, perform strategic and tactical supply chain planning, and manage the activities and resources that transform inputs into finished goods and services. The B.S. in Business Administration program focuses on core business functions and offers six different concentration. All students learn about finance, marketing, strategy, information technology, law, operations, and human resources. Student also complete a four-course concentration in Finance, Entrepreneurship, Human Resource Management, Information Technology, Marketing or Supply Chain Management. Graduates are prepared for a variety of careers in business or industry, including banking and finance, manufacturing, product development, human resources, IT management and business analysis.
