Master of Business Administration/Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.)

The Master of Business Administration (MBA) Program at North Dakota State University is non-thesis, concise, professional program for qualified students with undergraduate or graduate degrees in various fields. The program imparts an effective set of analytical skills in key areas of business - including management, marketing, accounting, finance, and information systems - designed to broaden career options and facilitate promotability. The NDSU MBA takes a generalist approach to business education while providing a wide variety of elective courses enabling students to pursue a particular area of interest. NDSU's MBA Program is accredited by AACSB International - the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business - the highest business program accreditation worldwide. The MBA coursework can be completed in one calendar year following completion of the Pharm.D. degree. Alternatively, a student may take MBA courses may be taken anytime after gaining admission to the Graduate School and MBA program, with up to 7 years to complete the program. Over half of NDSU MBA students are part-time, taking 1-2 courses per semester while working full-time in their professions. Once enrolled in the MBA Program, students should expect to pay graduate course fees and graduate school tuition rates for each MBA course being taken. Individuals seeking admission to the MBA program may request a waiver of the GMAT/GRE requirement if they meet one of the following requirements:

The applicant holds a terminal degree (e.g., Ph.D., M.D., J.D., etc.).
The applicant has a minimum of five (5) years of recent, post-bachelor's, full-time, professional work experience, including managerial responsibilities.
Appropriate documentation (i.e. official transcript, resume) is required to be uploaded to the application file. It does not, however, guarantee a waiver. Applicants are reviewed on a case-by-case basis, and waiver approval is determined at the discretion of the MBA program coordinator and/or director.

At the baccalaureate level, the applicant must have earned a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.0, or equivalent, to attain full standing in a graduate degree program. Applicants whose last degree completed is a graduate degree may be admitted in full standing if the final GPA of that degree is at least 3.0 or equivalent.
