BSc (Econ) (Hons) Economics and International Finance with a Year in Industry and Integrated Foundation Year (January Start)

In an ever-more connected world, we need to understand trade, finance and strategy on an international level. The 2008 financial crisis showed us how regional events can have massive global consequences. Understanding financial decision-making, risk management and the behaviour of global financial markets has never been so important. Youll develop an international perspective from the first semester, with a module on the world economy. Youll cover macroeconomics and microeconomics, and learn to apply quantitative techniques. Youll also study financial topics such as international finance and international trade. With a wide choice of modules in the final year, you can direct your studies to your interests or career goals, from behavioural economics to corporate strategy and the finance of emerging markets.

This programme combines a three-year degree with a bespoke foundation year, providing you with a smooth pathway as an international or EU student whose prior education or English language proficiency does not enable you to apply directly for a three-year degree.

This programme is designed for students who have completed a good high school education that consists of at least 12 years study.

IELTS Academic- Minimum of IELTS 6.0, with a minimum of 5.5 in each component.
TOEFL- 79 overall including 17 in Writing and Listening, 18 in Reading, and 20 in Speaking.
