BSc (Econ) (Hons) Economics, Statistics and Mathematics with Year in Industry and Integrated Foundation Year

In the first year youll build a foundation in microeconomics, macroeconomics and quantitative analysis, and in pure and applied mathematics, probability and statistics. The second year focuses on statistical methods and modelling and econometrics, alongside further studies in economics. In the final year you choose from an exceptionally wide range of modules across both disciplines, steering your studies to match your interests or career goals. Cover previous topics in more depth, or branch out in a new direction. Options range from quantitative methods in economics and finance to corporate strategy and management of technology. Mathematical modules could see you studying chaos, actuarial mathematics or cryptography. Joint teaching from the School of Mathematical Sciences and the School of Economics and Finance means youll learn from experts across both fields, and benefit from the support of two academic schools.

This programme combines a three-year degree with a bespoke foundation year, providing you with a smooth pathway as an international or EU student whose prior education or English language proficiency does not enable you to apply directly for a three-year degree.

This programme is designed for students who have completed a good high school education that consists of at least 12 years study.
IELTS Academic- Minimum of IELTS 6.0, with a minimum of 5.5 in each component.
TOEFL- 79 overall including 17 in Writing and Listening, 18 in Reading, and 20 in Speaking.
