Bachelors of Science in Human Performance and Sport Sciences

The Department of Human Performance Sport Sciences (HPSS) offers three undergraduate concentrations and two graduate concentrations. The Graduate Catalog should be checked for information on the master's degree concentrations in Sports Administration and Exercise Science. Preparation of physical education teacher's pedagogical techniques in the design of program activities that would guide youth in becoming physically active for the rest of their lives. Prepare health educators to promote wellness by instructing others on the way of proper diet, stress management, psychological well-being, human sexuality, exercise, and play, as well as other fundamental behaviors that improve the quality of life for all individuals and communities. Prepare exercise science, students, for careers in community physical fitness entities: public, private, corporate, commercial, and clinical settings. Prepare sports administrators to lead highly effective sports, recreation, and corporate programs.

Official transcripts and authorized school records with a course-by-course listing of courses and grades received, such transcripts must have been evaluated by a foreign educational credential agency, at the student's expense.

Minimum grade point average of 2.50 on a 4.00 system.

An applicant whose native language is not English is required to submit a test score of 61 as the minimum acceptance level of performance on the Test of English as a Foreign Language, (TOEFL) IBT or 5.0 on the IELTS (International English Language Testing System). We will also accept the Duolingo English Test with a score of 71 or higher. International students with superior scholastic records are considered for admission as freshmen and as transfer students. An applicant whose native language is not English is required to submit a test score of 500 as the minimum acceptance level of performance on the Test of English as a Foreign Language, (TOEFL)
