Master of Education - Special and Inclusive Education (000947D) 1.5-year program

A specialist special and inclusive education stream in the Master of Education designed to address the increasing demands for knowledge and skills in teaching children and adults with disability.The stream covers a wide range of topics, e.g. autism spectrum, emotional and behavioural disabilities, communication disabilities, intellectual disabilities, learning assistance, assistive technology as well as inclusive education. The Masters of Education in Special and Inclusive Education is designed both for teachers in mainstream schools who wish to facilitate inclusion of students with disabilities, as well as for those who want to work as special educators in specialised settings.

1.5-year program A bachelor’s degree (or equivalent qualification) in a relevant discipline with a record of academic achievement equivalent to a UNSW credit average of 65%, OR A bachelor’s degree (or equivalent qualification) in any discipline with a record of academic achievement equivalent to a UNSW credit average of 65% plus three years’ relevant professional experience and development, OR An honours degree or graduate diploma (or equivalent qualification) in any discipline with a record of academic achievement equivalent to a UNSW credit average of 65%. IELTS - 6.5 overall (min. 6.0 in each subtest) TOEFL iBT - 90 overall (min. 23 in writing, 22 in reading, listening and speaking)
