Graduate Certificate in Human Factors in Medical Devices and Systems

The Medical Devices and Systems Certificate Program develops and enhances skills in medical/health technology assessment, validation, and overall design. The program is open to individuals with a solid bachelor's degree in a relevant area (or with industry experience) and is especially useful for human factors professionals, user interface designers, and those who work in the medical device industry.

This certificate is offered in collaboration with the Department of Psychology, the Department of Mechanical Engineering, and the Department of Occupational Therapy.

Applicants will be required to upload a copy of transcripts received from each college or university attended where credit was earned toward an undergraduate, graduate or professional degree. Transcripts for study abroad or transfer programs are not required if the course titles, grades, and credit hours are included on the transcript of the degree-granting institution. If the transcript is in a language other than English, please provide an official translation. If you are offered admission, you will be required to request that official hard copy transcripts from all of your degree granting institutions be sent directly to Tufts.

Minimum TOEFL score of 90 on the internet based exam is required for Certificate, M.A., M.S., and Ph.D. applicants. The minimum IELTS score is 6.5.
